Bhulla Lake - It is a small, well maintained and serene lake, made and maintained by Indian Army. It is located at just 1 km walk from Lansdowne city centre. Bhulla Lake is also known as Bhulla Tal among locals. . 'Bhulla' in local garhwali language means 'Young Brother'. Bhulla Lake is dedidated to the Garhwali youth of Garhwal Rifles, who helped in construction of the lake.
A perfect picnic spot and entertaining day out in Lansdowne, Bhulla Lake is a famous place in Lansdowne and is ideal place for kids, couples and adults. Surrounded by lush green trees, the Lake boasts of tranquil, neat and clean environment.
Enjoy pedal boating to go around the lake, along with flock of snow white ducks. A small children park is situated near the lake and is equipped with fun rides. One can also find small souvenir shop, a cafe, herbal plants nursery, enclosures for rabbits near the Bhulla Lake. A small over bridge on the lake attracts visitors for a best lake view.
War Memorial - The War Memorial, at the Parade ground of the Garhwal Rifles Centre is an attraction for all visitors. The Garhwal Rifles participated in the two world wars among countless other battles throughout its more than 125 years of history. History lovers would have a treat visiting the Darwan Singh Museum, which has carefully preserved rare photographs, artifacts, arms used by regimental commanders and the captured weapons.

Lans Castle organizes and offers day trip, including jungle jeep safari, to Corbett National Park. The distance between Lanscastle and Corbett National Park, through Vatan Vasa entry gate, is 36Km, though the Corbett Tiger Reserve area starts as early at a distance of 18 Kms only.
One would enjoy the mix of paved and off road drive through the jungle. Each safari jeep is accompanied by a guide to help you enjoy the flora and fauna of the forest to the max. The duration of trip within the jungle is about four hours.
The day trip starts at 9.30 AM and concludes at about 4.30 PM at the hotel. Guests would be served packed lunch on the way. Light refreshment would be served on way back to the hotel.
Visitors are suggested to wear natural colour clothing and obey the forest rules. Guides play a vital role in leading the ways in the jungle and spotting animals even when on the move. Please do not get off the jeeps during the safari as it could be dangerous for both humans as well as the animals. Ultimately the jungle is a home of animals and we need to avoid any disturbance caused from our actions.
To make advance booking, names, age & gender of all guests are required. For Indian guests - Photo ID Card number of any ONE guest per jeep is required, which the guest must carry with him at the time of going to safari.
For foreigner guests - Names, age, gender, nationality and passport numbers of all guests are required.

Tarkeshwar Mahadev is a village 36 km from Lansdowne and is situated at a height of 1,800 m. The place is known for its famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by thick forests of cedar and pine, it is an ideal place for those who seek for beauty in nature. The valley near the temple is so densely populated with trees that one can easily experience a temperature difference of 3 to 4 degrees between the temple and the surrounding area. It is an ideal location for a day outing, offering wonderful scenic drive, soothing and charming experience of valley and divine solace.
Recommendation - It is advised to carry your meals along from Lansdowne itself, as very limited options are available on site.
